Kanyaghunya village is sub divided into min villages, among other is found in Lhuhwahwa parish, kisinga Sub County, Bukonzo east constituency, Kasese district, in the broad Rwenzori region of Uganda, Africa. In the late ages of 2000, Rwenzori region was attacked by a rebel group called allied democratic forces, (ADF). This insurgency brought great loss of properties combined with thousands losing their lives. People lived scared, changed their lifestyle due to fear of being attacked by rebels and truly, there was no comfort at all.
All had to pass that condition was stabilizing in early 2010. Community members who had run from Kanyughunya as refugees started running home. A few full gospel church members who used to travel long distance to kiburara to fellowship started organizing to see ways of fellowshipping in Kanyughunya. Through commitment, they managed to raise a temporary church after few months of its completion, unknown person burnt this church to ashes. Sorrow came back to the full gospel family. They went back to kiburara for fellowship. Less than a month after the church was burnt, the community members learnt of the one who burnt the church. Surprising part of it is, this person who burnt the church became mad.
The members began another step to build another church of which it succeeded. Worship began. Not again very long, the house was blown by wind and collapsed. The believers gave up and others scattered to other denominations where they can never come back. This made Kanyughunya to remain with no evangelistic Pentecostal church never the less full gospel ministry organized a fundraising from other full gospel already established churches to buy a plot of land in Kanyughunya for the church and it was done.
